Illusions
Remoulade Lewis has a job she loves and is well paid to make others beautiful. After a hectic few months, what she needs more than glamour and flash is a “pause my life” getaway.
Drew Cointreau offers her a “first name no regrets”weekend. Seventy-two hours in the thunderstorms of New Orleans pampered by a complete stranger. Remoulade is blindsided by a world she does not recognize. Blinking only make things worse.
Tangled in a web of betrayals, both become confused and disoriented. Illusions is sensory exhilaration where what you receive is not always what you agreed to. Sometimes, when the rain stops, what awaits in the fog is more dangerous than a 3-night stand with a stranger!

Excerpt
Remy turned and saw a pair of hazel eyes sparkling under the neon signs. He did not motion towards her. She nodded in appreciation.
She was single and single. No relationship, no kids, no side- piece, no pets, nothing to keep her from enjoying a frivolous weekend. The one thing she had packed in her travel bag was a box of condoms. It felt strange but, even while one enjoys the freedom of flying a kite, one must still exercise a bit of caution.
Southerners are a different breed. Hospitality runs as deep as the racial divides. When you find your tribe, you know it. Remy was born and reared in a military family. Traveling around the world was normal as an Air Force brat.
A new song caught her attention after she finished her beer. Time to go! When she twirled on the floor, there he stood. Drew would be damned if this beauty was going to grind those hips on anybody in this place except him. She had a body that begged to be pulled close and explored. He watched her dance alone in previous two songs. It aroused him in ways that had not visited his spirit in a long time.
Unashamedly, she backed up against him and the grinding dance blocked out everyone except them.
The bartender’s orders were piling up because she could not stop watching them. Neither could anyone else!
“She is out of her element. Look at her!”
“We are! Put your bitter bitch back on the shelf! That woman is no threat to you. You are the best bartender in town. She just happens to be the hottest, sexiest, sultriest woman in the bar tonight.
